What’s Your Story?

I want to get real with you, real quick.

I’m all about living the life you love.

But my life hasn’t always been that way.

I’ve built multi-million dollar online businesses, even though I started off massively in debt living on my sister’s couch.

I’ve come a long way since 2007. (Feel free to listen to my story if you want to jump ahead).

Let me tell you how I got off my sister's couch and started making millions.

It all started with football
:)

Growing up, I didn’t think I was good at anything but sports.

In fact, my grades were so bad in school, that I tested at a 2nd grade reading level when I was sent to boarding school in 8th grade.

I had a lot of energy and pent up frustration, and sports were the only thing that let me feel like I was doing something well.

So I made a goal to be an All-American athlete.

The better I got at football, basketball, track, baseball, etc., the more I liked playing sports.

So I made a goal to be a professional football player.

And I got there.

After becoming an All-American in football and decathalon, I got into the Arena Football League in college.

I was being paid to live the dream - play football every day AND get paid for it.

But a devastating, career-ending, awful wrist injury left me on my sister’s couch with a cast up my arm for six months.

I was in pain. I was eating macaroni and cheese. I was racking up credit card debt.

Yes, I was absolutely depressed.

And I didn’t know what to do about making a living for myself.

But I knew this:

I did not want to sell myself short in a job or life I wasn’t passionate about.

So, despite the fact that it was 2008 (AKA horrible economy),

I didn’t have a college degree,

I had no backup plan, and no clearly defined goal,

I decided I was going to make it happen. But I had to make a huge shift in my mindset.

I could have let my situation bring me down.

I could have stopped and settled.

I could have given into my fear of failure, choosing wrong, not being smart enough.

But I didn't.

I kept going.

In fact, the greatest people in the world know that the only way to make their vision a reality is to never ever give up.

I share my thoughts (briefly) about this powerful truth in this short podcast clip.

Give it a listen, take it to heart, and then decide if your dream is worth never EVER giving up on.

If it isn't, then start dreaming bigger.

In service,

P.S. Stay tuned for part 2 coming soon. Gonna be fun, see you then!

P.S.S. I now play my new favorite sport, Team Handball, on the USA National Team and have my eyes set on the
Olympics.
