Why I think you should set a goal

There was a time in my life when I felt like there were opportunities within reach for me, but there was this invisible barrier that I couldn't seem to get past.

I don't know about you, but I have been guilty of thinking about the things I didn't want in life - a job I hated, a dead-end career - instead of focusing on what I did want.

Once I decided on specific things that I wanted in life (particularly in the next 5 years), I wrote them down - not sure how I would ever accomplish them - and they became my 5-year goals.

What I realized after seeing almost all of them accomplished in 3 years was that I had been living the opposite of a life of faith - if I couldn't see it or at least figure out how it was possible, I didn't truly believe that it was possible.

Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God. That is a big and bold statement.

But I interpret it like this: if I want to please God, I need to believe in something that I can't figure out how it will happen.

Check out the article below to see why I truly believe in writing down goals, working hard and having faith that they will come to pass.

Best of luck with your goal-setting!

Bob
