How to Launch an Online Course in 60 Days (Part Two)

So, a little confession...

I, Jon Morrow, am a world-class procrastinator.

Don't believe me?

Well, listen to this:

Three years ago, I outlined a course on how to get more blog traffic.

And I never launched it.

The damn outline is still sitting on my computer. Collecting digital dust. Not helping anyone.

Why?

Because I'm a procrastinator.

Just like you.

Just like everyone.

"But Jon," you say. "I'm even worse. At least you've created a few courses. I haven't even done one!"

And you're right.

If you want to play the game of who-is-the-worst-procrastinator, you probably got me beat.

(Congratulations, you win a prize, but I'll send it to you later. ;-)

But here's the thing...

In my opinion, procrastination is just human nature. Our brains are designed to prioritize the urgent over the important.

So, how do you win?

By upping the urgency.

You see, I've never created a course before I absolutely had to. Not once.

The good thing is, I know this about myself. So, here's what I do:

I sell the course before I create it.

Really, it's little more than an idea in my head when I put it up for sale, I literally get hundreds of students to buy a course that doesn't exist.

Why?

Because it forces me to create the course! If I don't, everyone will hate me!

And the funny thing...

Everybody else creates their courses the same way.

Even beginners. Even people who don't have a big audience yet.

"But Jon," you say. "How am I supposed to get somebody to buy my course when I don't even have an audience?!"

Excellent question. We're going to answer it here:
