So here we are: sleep-deprived, living out of a hotel-room with a newborn, and blessed beyond measure.
2. Movie that I (and my 3-year-old) have been enjoying
The Little Prince (book) is a favorite in our household, and Netflix created a slightly more accessible movie version that IMO maintains the heart and soul of what Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was trying to communicate when he wrote the book.
There are some fantastic life lessons and reminders in there - especially for the adults among us.
And as someone who isn't too thrilled with a lot of Disney's creations, I am very comfortable watching it with my 3-year-old.
3. Currently I am reading...
If there has ever been a book written that I wish I could give to everyone in my life that wants to change the direction of their life - this is it.
It is super short and a tremendously easy read that teaches the reader 12 simple habits that we can begin implementing that will change the direction in our lives.
If you want a change is any of these areas (marriage, spiritual life, career, finances, and relationships) you won't regret picking up a copy.
Side note: you will likely never find a book, movie, person, etc that you 100% agree with, so take the good, and leave the bad.
4. If you are going on a road trip this summer...
We go on a lot of road trips and are pretty selective on the quality of food we eat (when we can be) and it can be really difficult on the road - especially when you have little ones.
During our trip to Alabama last week I found this super-helpful iPhone app called RoadTrippers.
It helps you find preferred restaurants along the way, places to get out and walk around, points of interest, and a lot more.
This is going to be a go-to app for us going forward.
What about you? Got anything interesting to share?
Hit reply and let me know!
I hope you feel as cool as you are!
