How I made over $2k by decluttering

I tend to live a pretty minimalist lifestyle.

I discovered that having one thing that I love is FAR better than having a bunch of things that I kind of like.

So whenever my home starts becoming too cluttered with "things", I'll take a look and start getting rid of the things that I don't absolutely love.

A few questions help me filter items:

  • "Would I buy this item again today?"
  • "Have I used it in the last year?"
  • "How much would it cost me to buy it again if I really needed it at some point?"
  • "Would someone I know be really blessed if I gave this to them?"

Just like taking a shower after a good workout, it really feels refreshing getting rid of a lot of stuff that you don't really need.

And the best part?

We normally make a good chunk of change in the process!

Whether you are downsizing or just looking to get rid of some of the stuff in your house, today's article will give you some great tips for how to make the most of your items!

Side note: part of my process involves using Craigslist, and if you read last week's email you will know that I almost got scammed by NOT following my own two rules on Craigslist: only accept cash and meet in public areas to exchange goods. So if you decide to use it to unload some of your clutter, be sure to follow those rules!

Let me know how it goes for you!

All the best!

Bob
