| These Email Campaigns Could Change Your Life

I realize that headline sounds like an exaggeration. Email has become more of an annoyance in our lives than some kind of savour. However, one fact needs to be stated: Email is still the most effective direct response mechanism we have available online today. What does that mean? It means when you compare the response rate to email versus all other forms of online media, including all social media, mobile apps, videos and podcasts, you're going to get more people reacting (clicking links) and going directly to your offers via email. (If you don't believe me, do some Googling for statistics on response rates of different online media and you will see that email is still miles ahead.) As entrepreneurs with products and services to sell, this is a very important statistic. To put it simply, it means we will make much more money from our email list than any other channel. I can vouch for this with my own business. I have over 50,000 social media followers and 50,000 email subscribers. If I publish one post to each of my social channels I'll struggle to get even close to 100 clicks and ZERO buyers from those 50,000 subscribers via organic reach. If I do the same via email, I'll get at least 500 clicks, even as many as 2,000, and depending on the campaign, can make anywhere from 5 to 50 sales. A Blog Post Versus An Email This information might be new to you, but for me, I first discovered the power of email over a decade ago. Back then I was a new blogger, enjoying watching my blog audience grow. After my first year of blogging I added an email optin box to my blog and began growing an email list too. Later that year I did some affiliate promotions, recommending courses from other experts. I'd write a blog post to promote a product and if I made one or two sales I'd call it a good result. Then I'd do the same with email and I'd make 10 to 20 sales. Of course my blog is what grew my email list, so I knew I needed both, but wow, what a difference in response rate! From that point forward I put email list growth as my primary concern. I'd hazard an educated guess that I would have made 90% LESS income over the last ten years if I never focused on email like I did. Let Emails Sell For You After I released my first product I did something smart, but boy was it A LOT of work... I wrote 50 emails, all full of great content, with some of them promoting my new product. I then set up that sequence as a 'weekly newsletter', except instead of me sending those emails manually week after week, I set them up to go out in sequence, one per week for an entire year. The end result: I made money while I slept. People joined my automatic email newsletter, and a very small fraction of them purchased my product after receiving the emails. This was my first taste of the power of automatic email campaigns... but it wasn't the last. Fast forward to the last few years and I took the power of automatic emails to the next level. I completely redesigned my business to build a 'machine' made up of many different automatic email campaigns that work together. It's operated for several years now and delivered more passive income than anything else I have ever done.
