Page 1 for keyword tool

Hey There,

I wrote a post calling out how I was going to outrank my SEO friend for the term keyword tool on Google.

Guess who's already on page 1? I'll give you a hint; it's not him.

Go check out the search results for yourself

The post lays out exactly how I'm going to do it without revealing my final knockout punch, which is still coming...

But since you're reading this email, I'll let you know the details.

I'm using that parasite post to (and page 1 ranking) to build up my relevance for the term, while in the background lining up my dominos to fall as needed. As the post lays out, my plan is to first rank that post (though it's unlikely it will actually ever rank in position #1 -- simply because it's not a keyword tool) and then to leverage that ranking to parlay it into my desired ranking; #1 using a domain of my own.

The post does actually contain links to 2 of the 3 dominos I'm lining up, both of which are other keyword tools.

What it doesn't go into is my plan, which is:
  1. Continue to build daily traffic to wondersear.ch until I get it to 3,000 visits per day
  2. Launch semantic.io's premium tool
  3. Share semantic on ProductHunt and secure a top 3 rank for the day
  4. Move wondersear.ch to a subdirectory on semantic
  5. Leverage the drafting technique using PH to get 5 pieces of press coverage for semantic on tier 1 tech news outlets
  6. Secure the linchpin link needed to semantic to send it #1
I'll be keeping you updated as I make each individual move off-site, as I'm only tracking the progress of the current ranking post URL publicly.

On another note - want to gran dinner with me (and Matt Howells-Barby and Ian Howells)? Find out how.

To your high rankings,
Nick

P.s. - Want to hang out IRL? I'm hosting my first ever live SEO Conference with Matt Barby and Ian Howells this January in Philadelphia. Get all the details right here.
