Why You Need A Partner

 

March 2019 Dear Entrepreneur, I'm sure you've experienced the partnership paradox before: It's easier to tackle entrepreneurship with someone else…but it's hard to form a great working relationship! What to do? That's why we put Jonathan and Drew Scott (better known as HGTV's Property Brothers) on our cover this month. These twin brothers are an unbeatable team. So how do they do it? Here's some of their advice: Drew: We call it a no-B.S. policy. Just get it out. Don't let pent-up frustration lead to negativity that can damage your team. Try to keep emotion out of it – these are business decisions. Jonathan: Remember, there are a million right ways to do things. Drew might do something differently than I would have, but the outcome will be the same – the job gets done. Don't second-guess each other, because that can be damaging.
